Jude Bellingham rise to football stardom has been nothing short of impressive. Since joining Real Madrid last summer, the English midfielder has been making headlines with his outstanding performances. He is even being tipped as a potential winner of the Ballon D’or this year, with 18 goals and eight assists already to his name and currently leading La Liga’s top scorers chart.

However, before he signed with the Spanish giants, there was plenty of speculation about which club he would choose, with top teams like Liverpool and Manchester City vying for his signature.

Recently, Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp confirmed that his team had indeed been interested in signing the 20-year-old. However, the club ultimately decided not to pursue the young midfielder due to financial constraints. According to Klopp, signing the English man would have meant that his side would not have had the funds to sign other players in the transfer window.

Jürgen Klopp: “We were interested in Jude Bellingham, but then we realized it wouldn’t happen because we wouldn’t have money for anything else.”  told Mundo Deportivo.

This revelation sheds light on the financial constraints faced by top football clubs and the difficult decisions they must make when it comes to transfers. Some fans might wonder what could have been if Liverpool had managed to secure Bellingham’s services.

The young midfielder’s impressive performances at Los Blancos only strengthen the argument that he could have been a valuable addition to the Premier League club’s midfield.
