Bayern Munich has issued a decisive ultimatum to Alphonso Davies, giving the Canadian winger one week to decide on his future. Reports from ‘Sky Germany’ reveal that the Bundesliga giants are seeking clarity as negotiations over a new contract with Davies reach a critical stage.

Max Eberl, Bayern Munich’s new General Sports Director, recently addressed the ongoing talks, acknowledging their extended duration. Eberl stressed the need for a definitive response from Davies and his representatives, clarifying that despite speculation, Real Madrid has not made contact with Bayern Munich.

“We have made Alphonso a concrete and generous offer. At some point in life, you have to make a decision,” emphasized Eberl, highlighting the urgency of the situation.

However, negotiations have hit an impasse over salary demands. While Bayern Munich’s offer reportedly stands at 14 million euros gross per year, Davies and his camp are pushing for a higher figure of 20 million euros annually.

The stakes are clear.  If Davies rejects Bayern Munich’s offer, he will be made available for transfer next summer. Bayern is said to be seeking a fee of 50 million euros to part ways with the talented winger. They want to do this during the current transfer window. Real Madrid, while currently a secondary player in the saga, holds an advantage given Davies’ contract expiry in 2025.

With uncertainty surrounding Davies’ future, both Bayern Munich and Real Madrid are closely monitoring developments as the deadline looms. The coming days will be pivotal in determining the next chapter of Alphonso Davies’ career. This comes with potential implications for both clubs involved in this high-stakes negotiation.
