In a surprising turn of events, 18-year-old Turkish talent Arda Güler stepped onto the grounds of Real Madrid’s Ciudad Deportiva.

Despite a series of injuries, Güler is yet to make his debut with the white team, and the prevailing message is one of patience. The midfielder’s physical condition remains shrouded in mystery.

Having been sidelined with a meniscus injury since preseason, a muscular injury was reported in mid-October before he could even be included in any matchday squad.

The biggest controversy arose in early November. Güler received medical clearance, making it to Carlo Ancelotti’s squad list for the match against Rayo Vallecano at Santiago Bernabéu (0-0) on November 5.

However, three days later, ahead of the Champions League clash with Sporting de Braga (3-0), Güler experienced discomfort and remained on the bench.

He suffered a quadriceps rupture in his right leg, and Ancelotti mentioned that the player was “depressed” due to his eagerness to contribute and injuries hindering his progress.

This injury, different from the previous one, and the management of his recovery reportedly led to the dismissal of the club’s head of medical services, Niko Mihic, who had been with Real Madrid since 2017.

While Güler is back on the field, there’s no set return date, and caution prevails given the circumstances.

Joining Güler in solo training was Aurélien Tchouaméni, recovering from a stress fracture in his left foot, expected to coincide with the Supercopa de España in Saudi Arabia.

Kepa rejoined the group, possibly in the squad for Saturday’s match against Granada, while Courtois, Militao, Camavinga, Vinicius, and Modric continue their respective recovery processes.
