According to a report by Edu Aguirre, Brahim Diaz is expected to start for Real Madrid in their crucial Copa del Rey match against Atletico Madrid tonight.

Ancelotti is considering resting Rodrygo for this fixture as he believes the Brazilian prodigy needs some time off to recoup and stay fresh for the remaining matches of the season. Despite Rodrygo’s phenomenal form this season with twelve goals and seven assists in 28 appearances, he has played a lot of football lately and tends to look jaded in recent matches.

Ancelotti’s decision to rest him tonight could prove critical in keeping him fit for the remainder of the season. The 24-year-old, who will replace the Brazilian, has made 23 appearances this season and has scored six goals and provided three assists. Brahim is expected to start his 9th game for Los Blancos this season.

The 24-year-old’s impressive dribbling skills, pace, and ability to score goals have impressed both the coaching staff and fans. Brahim also proved his worth with a great goal as a substitute in their previous match against Atletico Madrid, which helped Real Madrid secure their place in the SuperCopa finals.
