Real Madrid concluded their last training session of 2023 on Sunday, with Frenchman Eduardo Camavinga and Spaniard Lucas Vázquez participating in part of the session, reports MD.

However, neither player is confirmed to be available for the first match of 2024 against RCD Mallorca on Wednesday (19:15 hours).

After missing Saturday’s public session, Eduardo Camavinga, recovering from a lateral external ligament tear in his right knee sustained a month and a half ago, joined the group for some exercises on Sunday with a bandage on the joint, engaging with the ball on the field.

Lucas Vázquez, dealing with back discomfort since the last game on December 21 against Alavés, where he scored the winning goal (0-1), followed a similar training plan.

Although neither player is confirmed for Ancelotti’s plans against Mallorca, Vázquez seems to have a better chance.

Brazilian Vinícius Junior, recovered from a muscle tear, and Spanish right-back Dani Carvajal, back from a left soleus injury, are expected to be available, having completed the entire session with the group.

Turkish player Arda Güler also completed the training, but his return will be managed more cautiously, having not played an official match since June due to three injuries – discomfort in the meniscus of the right knee and two muscular issues – since joining Real Madrid.

Meanwhile, Frenchman Ferland Mendy, nursing muscular discomfort, trained individually, and no return date has been set.

Real Madrid concluded their final 2023 training and will resume on January 1, 2024, at 12:00 hours at the club’s sports complex in Valdebebas.
