Manchester City marksman Erling Haaland has shared his feelings on watching former teammate Jude Bellingham’s debut with Real Madrid.

The two spent two seasons together at German club Dortmund.

Erling Haaland was the first to depart in the summer of 2022. He joined Manchester City in the Premier League, winning the treble in his first season.

The Englishman followed suit the following summer and joined Spanish giants Real Madrid.

Bellingham has hit the ground running

In his first month with Los Blancos, the 20-year-old has achieved a lot of successes. He has scored in each of Real Madrid’s first four league games.

With five goals and as assist in his first four games, Jude Bellingham has cemented his role in the team.

Real Madrid signed him from Dortmund this summer for a stunning 103 million euros, an amount that was questioned by several fans and pundits.

If the first four games of the season are anything to go by, Jude Bellingham’s signing for Real Madrid has rather been a bargain.

The unforgettable debut

He made his debut in early August at San Mamés against Athletic Club.

Real Madrid went into the game without their top scorer for the past five season. Karim Benzema departed the club earlier in the window, leaving questions about the team’s attack.

Jude Bellingham however, stepped up with an awesome performance, crowing his day with a goal in the 36th minute and the Man of the Match award.

Haaland surrenders to Jude

In an interview with France Football, Haaland said: “I watch a lot of football on TV. By the way, I saw the incredible debut of Jude at Real Madrid, it makes me really happy for him.”

Both players have been nominated for the Ballon d’or award.

Erling Haaland, with six goals, is also the only player in Europe’s top seven leagues to have scored more goals than his former teammate so far this season.
