In anticipation of the UEFA Champions League final at Wembley Stadium, football journalist Fabrizio Romano has provided insights into the match between Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund.

This much-anticipated game is expected to attract an 80,000-strong crowd, eager to witness if Real Madrid can secure their 15th Champions League title or if Borussia Dortmund can pull off an upset.

Romano shared his thoughts, stating, “This evening it’s the big one! The Champions League final from Wembley, and what a fantastic game in prospect.

” He highlighted the contrasting statuses of the teams, noting that Real Madrid are seen as the favorites due to their historical dominance, having won five of the last ten finals. Borussia Dortmund, with only two UCL titles, are the underdogs.

He pointed out key players to watch, saying, “Both sides seem relaxed and ready for the game, and I expect Vinicius and Sancho to be the two main faces of this game, for sure.” Romano also expressed his curiosity about Thibaut Courtois’ return from injury, stating, “I’m also super curious to see Courtois back after so long, that will be special.”

While Romano refrained from making a definitive prediction, he suggested the possibility of the match extending into extra time: “I’m not good at predictions but… I feel it will go to extra time!”

Romano concluded by emphasizing the unpredictability of finals, referencing recent unexpected outcomes like Manchester United’s FA Cup final victory over Manchester City, to illustrate that anything can happen on the big stage.
