Fede Valverde reveals his ‘anger’ with Ancelotti, praises Kroos

Real Madrid star Federico Valverde has voiced his frustrations with his boss, Carlo Ancelotti, for playing him in different positions. According to the Uruguayan, he is currently adapting to the role the Real Madrid boss has given him.

The Real Madrid midfielder, after winning the 2023/2024 Champions League, had a week off and is now focused on the Uruguay national team as they head towards the 2024 Copa America tournament, which is scheduled to be played in six days in the United States.

Valverde talks about role adaptation and anger towards Ancelotti

Speaking to the Uruguayan press, AUF TV’s ‘La Quinta Tribuna’, the Real Madrid central midfielder said: “I learned to value playing everywhere in order to play. When I started my stage with Ancelotti, that anger of… why do I have to change position?”

He explained, “I learned to value what the coach asks of you and know how to mature around the game. If the coach asks you to collaborate in another position, you have to value it, understand it, and make the most of it.”

According to Valverde, playing for Carlo Ancelotti is a great opportunity, and chances must be seized when given.

“And coming from him (Ancelotti), playing for Real Madrid is not easy, you have to grab and not give up that opportunity anymore.”

With Real Madrid, the Uruguayan midfielder praised his teammate Toni Kroos for supporting him and his family.

“Kroos? He will always have a very important respect and affection within my family. His family made us feel part of everything he was achieving and every day, especially when things were not right, with a few words he made me feel better. He was always with that peace of mind.”

Ancelotti’s help to Valverde

The Uruguayan international added that the Real Madrid boss is always willing to correct and help him mature, and that he values the boss’s help very much.

“Ancelotti was always willing to help me and advise me, and that must always be valued.”

Meanwhile, “When you are at Real Madrid you are with the dream of being able to achieve great things, important titles and when you have been at the club for years you realize that it costs but there is that hunger to win always go for more,” Valverde said.

Furthermore, Valverde praised Real Madrid fans for making every player in the club feel so special.

“The fans make you feel the same; that the most beautiful thing is the Champions League, and it seems easy but it’s difficult.”
