Just two days after his social media post in support of Gaza in the ongoing conflicts, Karim Benzema has been the subject of many insults from fans and many more.

Just hours after the post on X (formerly Twitter), former Israeli goalkeeper Dudu Aouate replied the current Ballon d’or holder, calling him ‘son of a b*tch’ in five different languages.

Benzema’s post on X read: “All our prayers for the inhabitants of Gaza who are once again victims of these unjust bombings which spare no women or children.”

The shocker of the aftermath has been an Instagram post by a French senator. Sharing this on her Instagram story, French senator and politician Valérie Boyer asked for his Ballon d’or award and French nationality to be withdrawn if his links with the Muslim Brotherhood are proven true.

This statement comes after Gerald Darmanin, France’s Interior Minister levelled serious accusations at Karim Benzema during a TV interview with CNews. In his statements, he said: “Mr. Karim Benzema has notorious links, as we all know, with the Muslim Brotherhood.”

Part of the statement from Valérie Boyer read: “We cannot accept that a French dual national, internationally known, could dishonor and even betray our country in this way.”

She also asked for the withdrawal of Benzema’s Ballon d’Or as well as his French nationality if the accusations concerning his link with the Muslim Brotherhood are proven true.
