Harry Kane opened up about his similarities to Karim Benzema, his views on the favorites for the UEFA Champions League, and his admiration for young sensation Jude Bellingham.

The English international currently playing for FC Bayern Munich, did not hesitate to acknowledge the similarities between himself and former Real Madrid star Karim Benzema.

Likened to Benzema

Kane stated: “Without a doubt. Benzema has been one of the best strikers of this decade. He was as capable of scoring, assisting, a very intelligent player in passing and one of the players from whom I have learned.”

When asked about the favorites for the upcoming UEFA Champions League season, Kane offered a diplomatic assessment.

UCL favorites

He said: “Favorites to win the Champions League? I’m not so sure, of course, you have to mention Manchester City as the current champions.”

“Then there is Real Madrid with its fantastic history, and I think Bayern is also among the favorites,” Kane added.

Harry Kane also had words of praise for his teammate in the national team Jude Bellingham, who made a remarkable impact since joining Real Madrid from Borussia Dortmund last summer.

Kane commented: “Jude Bellingham has surprised everyone? Obviously, I have been able to work with Jude for a long time, and we know he’s fantastic. He gave us a fantastic World Cup. Although he is very young, he has great maturity. He’s very focused, so I’m not surprised.”

Expressing his happiness for Jude Bellingham’s presence at Real Madrid, Kane noted: “I am very happy for Jude & that he is enjoying himself in Madrid. It’s fantastic to have him in your team, and being so young, he’s going to be the future of our team and probably of Real Madrid, so it’s a pleasure.”

The interview touched upon Karim Benzema, who left Real Madrid for Al Ittihad last summer. Benzema’s illustrious career at Real Madrid saw him secure numerous trophies, including five UEFA Champions League titles and a Ballon d’Or award. His legacy continues to cast a long shadow over the club.

Jude Bellingham’s arrival at Real Madrid last summer in a 100 million euro move from Borussia Dortmund has been nothing short of impressive.

Scoring five goals in his first five league games and earning the title of Madrid’s Player of the Month in his first month highlights the immediate impact the young Englishman has had at the Spanish club.

During his presentation, fans could already notice the hunger he had brought with him to Spain.

Hunger from day one

In his words on the first day, the 20-year-old said: “This is the proudest day of my life. I just want to say thank you to everyone in the room and everyone watching online. There are a lot of people to thank, including Borussia Dortmund and Birmingham City, my family. So, thank you very much and Hala Madrid.”

Jude also reiterated that money was not something he thought about before choosing Real Madrid, but he did so for the love of the game.

Harry Kane, on the other hand, is currently enjoying his tenure at FC Bayern Munich after his move from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer transfer window.

His presence in the Bayern squad adds firepower to the Bundesliga giants and further strengthens their squad.
