In news that rocks the foundations of Real Madrid’s youth system, there’s an imminent danger for Elyaz Zidane, a player for Juvenil A and the fourth offspring of football legend Zinedine Zidane, as he could be on the verge of leaving the prestigious Merengues academy.

As reported by the Marca via Mundo Deportivo, the young talent is seriously considering departing the white club due to the minimal playing time granted by coach Álvaro Arbeloa.

Elyaz, who plays as a central or left-back, finds himself in a precarious position, with Arbeloa showing a preference for other players in that position, such as Jacobo or Joan Martínez.

This situation, coupled with the prospect of not being called up for the French U-19 national team if he continues not to participate in Real Madrid, has led the young Zidane to contemplate the possibility of seeking opportunities elsewhere.

Since joining Real Madrid’s youth system in the 13/14 season, starting in La Fábrica’s Benjamin category, Elyaz has ascended through the ranks, but his involvement with Juvenil A has been limited. With only two starts in 21 games, his numbers are not encouraging, and this could sway the decision to leave the club.

In contrast, his brother Theo, a midfielder for Castilla, seems to have a more promising future within the white entity. Theo is part of Raúl’s plans for the reserve team and could have the opportunity to move up to a higher-level team in the future, following in the footsteps of his older brothers, Enzo and Luca.

The uncertainty about Elyaz Zidane’s future at Real Madrid leaves the continuity of a lineage that has left an indelible mark on the club’s history hanging in the balance. With the possibility of moving to another youth academy in search of a more prominent role, Elyaz faces a crucial decision that could change the course of his football career.
