Fifty journalists voted in the final round of the Golden Boy race. Out of the total number, only five did not vote for the Englishman as their first choice. The five that did not vote for Jude Bellingham, the talented English midfielder as number 1 include Mundo Deportivo, Kicker, TZ, De Telegraaf and Sportski Žurnal.

The forty-five votes means Bellingha won the award with 485 points out of a total 500, which is a record.

The only previous winner to match his dominance was PSG’s Kylian Mbappé who got 291 out of 300 points in 2017. At that time, there were just 30 voters.
