We are gradually reaching a point where every fan turns on their TV to watch a 20-year-old play football, regardless of who he plays for or against. That boy, is non other than Jude Bellingham.

After a sensational start to the campaign, Real Madrid’s new signing Jude Bellingham has taken the football world by storm.

In England’s 3-1 win over Italy on Tuesday night, the young midfielder managed to win a penalty for his side in the 31st minute. The penalty was converted by English captain Harry Kane.

Jude Bellingham then set up Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford for England’s second of the night.

After 85 minutes, the 20-year-old was substituted. His impressive performance earned him the Man of the Match award.

After the game, Jude spoke to Channel 4.

“I am getting a little better each time I play. It was a really good night for us, we all remember what happened a few years ago when they played us here. You always aim for progression. We are heading in the right direction and a very important win for us, he stated.”

“I am loving football at the minute. My management at club and country are giving me freedom to play it how I see it.”

“Since the last few months I have been really working on my timing getting into the box and as I am arriving I am arriving with a big hunger. With the big transfer the fact is I have to deliver, whether it is a goal or assist or a match-winning performance.”

Madridista for the next decade

“This is the club I want to be at for the next 10 to 15 years of my life. I am loving it there. Carlo basically said this position is where he sees me.”

Did Real Madrid improve you as a player?

“100%. When you are around those mentalities and quality of players every day, it takes you to a new level mentally, physically and technically.”

English coach Gareth Southgate also hailed the midfielder: “He (Bellingham) has been a catalyst (for changing the mindset of the team). I just think the way he carries himself and the way he plays on the field shows that. He’s had that since he walked through the door, frankly. Plus the power in his play, that gives us something when you are in tight situations and you can suddenly wriggle out of things. That belief, that willingness to engage with the crowd, they are rare traits in a player so young.”

Jude Bellingham has been directly involved in 16 goals in his 13 games between Real Madrid and England (11 goals, 5 assists).

His brilliant start to life at the Bernabéu has made him a fan favorite.

Real Madrid fans outside, the club’s training center and the Bernabéu have been stopping Jude Bellingham’s car after training and matches, asking him to make videos for their loved ones, sign autographs and take pictures.
