Mariano Díaz has made a triumphant return to training this Wednesday after overcoming a muscular injury, bringing a smile to the face of Sevilla’s new coach, Diego Alonso. With Mariano’s recovery, the injury list at Sevilla has been cleared ahead of the match against Real Madrid.

The Spanish-Dominican forward had suffered a muscular injury during his brief appearance in the match against Barcelona in Montjuïc. In that encounter, managed by Jose Luis Mendilibar, Sevilla suffered an unfortunate loss, sealed by an own goal from Sergio Ramos.

Sevilla is gearing up for the highly anticipated clash against league leaders, Real Madrid, set to take place at the Sánchez Pizjuán this Saturday. Uruguayan coach Diego Alonso has a full complement of players at his disposal, although he is still awaiting the return of the last batch of internationals.

The Argentine duo of Marcos Acuña and Lucas Ocampos, along with Serbian midfielder Nemanja Gudelj, are expected to rejoin the squad in time for Thursday’s training session, just before Real Madrid’s visit under the management of Carlo Ancelotti.

Former Madrid player Mariano Díaz now joins the list of previously injured players who have successfully recovered and rejoined the squad over the past few weeks. This includes Argentine midfielder Erik Lamela, as well as defenders Tanguy Nianzou and Marcao Teixeira.
