Real Madrid asserted their dominance to secure a comfortable 2-0 win against Granada at the Santiago Bernabéu, maintaining their grip on the top spot in La Liga and extending their commendable unbeaten streak to 13 matches.

In a match that unfolded without much opposition from a Granada side seemingly content to avoid a heavy defeat at Chamartín, Real Madrid showcased their prowess.

Toni Kroos, a linchpin in the team’s consistency, once again played a crucial role in orchestrating the game, transforming routine plays into moments of brilliance.

The opening goal was a testament to Kroos’s footballing finesse. Like a skilled conductor, he directed the play, delivering a precise pass to Brahim Díaz, who clinically converted the chance.

Both players shone in a game that posed little complication, and Real Madrid goalkeeper Lunin had a relatively quiet match with minimal interventions.

Real Madrid entered the Bernabéu with the task of responding to Girona’s triumph, and Ancelotti opted for a familiar lineup, with Joselu stepping in for the less experienced Ceballos.

Granada, facing a change in fortunes under new coach Alexander Medina, saw their initial plan disrupted by an early injury to goalkeeper Raúl, further dampening the chilly atmosphere at the Bernabéu.

While the 1-0 lead was the highlight of a somewhat subdued first half, referee González Fuertes stirred emotions by penalizing protests more than deliberate fouls. The contentious first half concluded with a corner awarded to Real Madrid, prompting frustration from the fans and heated reactions towards the referee.

The second half mirrored the first, with Lucas replacing Carvajal during halftime. Real Madrid maintained control at a measured pace, thwarting any attempts from Granada, guided by the ever-present Kroos.

Brahim threatened from the right, while the left flank proved decisive as Rodrygo capitalized on a pass from Joselu, sealing the victory with a well-executed goal.

Granada, struggling to mount a comeback, made substitutions to spark a reaction, but Real Madrid’s defense held firm.

Despite some attempts from Granada, including moments from Bryan Zaragoza and Boyé, little troubled Real Madrid’s backline. Ancelotti made late changes, introducing Nico Paz, yet opted not to use all available substitutions, leaving Bellingham on the pitch until the final whistle.
