Mbappe wants to play for Real Madrid now

The saga continues. French outlet Le Parisien have reported that Kylian Mbappe wants to play for Real Madrid next season. The player sent a formal letter to PSG confirming he will not renew until 2025.

The player himself has confirmed this to AFP, stating: “The board has been informed since July 15th, 2022 of my decision not to extend beyond 2024, and the letter sent was only meant to confirm what I already told them. I have never discussed a renewal with PSG.”

Le Parisien further report that Kylian Mbappé does not want to go to any other club, only Real Madrid. The player has made his decision. He wants to join Real Madrid now. Karim Benzema’s departure to Saudi Arabia has changed everything.

Kylian Mbappé has never been this close to leaving France. PSG are also not against selling him. Furthermore, Real Madrid are also well positioned in case they have to launch a bid in the coming weeks.

On Friday, France take on Gibraltar in Faro, Portugal. As captain of the French team, Mbappé must appear publicly before the match. At the moment, the French Football Federation has not confirmed whether he will speak on Thursday or not.
