Mbappe within reach of Real Madrid again

As reported by several sources, Kylian Mbappe has submitted a formal letter to PSG stating that he wants to leave the club. What makes this a big issue is, there was no demand from the club to the player to submit a letter. If he had not submitted it until August 1, it would automatically have meant he will not renew and so Kylian could have waited till August 1, tell the club he will not renew and leave for free in 2024. This letter generates news that he indeed wants to leave now which has been confirmed by numerous reliable sources.

L’equipe contacted Mbappé’s entourage about the news but they declined to comment on it. It is now possible that PSG may seek to sell Mbappé this summer. The situation is now open. News from Fabrizio Romano also says Kylian Mbappé has indeed informed PSG of his decision, he will not trigger the option to extend current contract until 2025. PSG’s position is not to lose Kylian for free. Either he signs a new deal now or he could be sold.

Florentino Pérez in 2022 said: “Mbappé did not betray me. Mbappé conveyed to the whole world his desire to play for Real Madrid. His dream was to come. We wanted to do it in August and they did not let him. PSG did not accept the 200 million offer. He wanted to leave.” The Real MAadrid president never closed the door to the 2018 World Cup winner and looks set to try one mor time for his signing. Real Madrid have the money to sign Mbappé this summer. They have been preparing for it reports Ramón Alvarez.

Reliable club reporter Mario Cortegana confirms Mbappé has indeed informed PSG by letter that he will not renew. PSG sources say: “There is no way he will leave for free next summer”. The first part was clear since last year. The second, no. Mario also reported in October last year that the relation between the Parisian club and Mbappe is completely broken.

The next few days will be crucial to decide the future of arguably the best player in the world.
