Official: Real Madrid announce squad for Champions League game against Union Berlin
Real Madrid is gearing up for their first match of the Champions League Group C against Union Berlin.
The game will take place at the Santiago Bernabéu on Wednesday, with kick-off scheduled for 6:45 pm CEST.
The club has announced their squad for the important fixture and there are some notable selections as well as an injury concern.
Squad in brief
In goal, Real Madrid has three options to choose from. Lunin, Kepa, and Cañizares are all included in the squad and will be ready to protect the net if called upon.
The defense will be marshaled by experienced players such as Alaba, Nacho, and Mendy. Lucas V., Fran García, Rüdiger, and Tobias complete the defensive line-up, providing depth and versatility.
The midfield is stacked with talent and experience. Bellingham, Kroos, and Modrić bring creativity and vision to the team, while Camavinga, Valverde, Tchouameni, and Ceballos provide energy and strength in the middle of the park.
Up front, the team boasts a mix of youth and experience. Rodrygo, Joselu, Brahim, and Gonzalo will be looking to make an impact and find the back of the net.
However, there is one notable absence from the squad.
Carvajal will miss the match due to injury. The defender has picked up an injury and will not be available for selection.
