Real Madrid are facing a potential challenge as they prepare for the upcoming summer transfer window.

With several player departures already confirmed, the club is left with limited options and is expected to make significant investments to bolster their squad.

Karim Benzema, Marco Asensio, Mariano Diaz, and Eden Hazard have all bid farewell to Los Blancos in the past week.

While these players often found themselves on the bench, their presence provided valuable depth and support for Carlo Ancelotti’s team.

The forward line is now the top priority for Real Madrid in the transfer window, as they seek to fill the void left by these departures.

However, other areas of the team are also facing challenges, which could pose difficulties for the club going forward.

According to reports from Gianluca Di Marzio, Juventus has set their sights on Lucas Vazquez and are hoping to secure his signature in the coming weeks.

Talks have already begun between the two parties, and the transfer fee being discussed is reportedly in the range of €6 million to €8 million.

This figure seems reasonable given that Vazquez has just one year remaining on his contract.

The player himself is said to be open to joining the Italian giants, primarily due to his limited playing time at the Santiago Bernabeu.

At 31 years old, Vazquez understandably does not want to continue playing a secondary role in the team.

During the previous La Liga season, Vazquez made appearances in 23 out of Real Madrid’s 38 games, starting in only 12 of them. Even in the matches he did participate in, he averaged just 50 minutes of playing time.

Despite these limitations, Vazquez managed to contribute four goals and an assist throughout the season. He also showcased his defensive capabilities with an average of five defensive actions per game, along with a key pass.

If Vazquez does depart, Real Madrid will face a challenging situation as they would be left with only Dani Carvajal as a natural right-back option.

While Nacho Fernandez could potentially serve as a backup, the club may need to consider signing a new player for the position.
