Young Brazilian right back Vinícius Tobías, who joined Real Madrid’s youth side Real Madrid Castilla on loan from Shakhtar Donetsk in the summer of 2022, is set to return to his parent club after the Spanish giants opted not to exercise their buy option.

Initially, Vinícius Tobías’ loan to Real Madrid was set to expire in June 2023. The deal included an option for Real Madrid to purchase the player at the end of the season. However, in the summer of 2023, Real Madrid renegotiated the terms of the loan. The new agreement extended Vinícius Tobías’ stay at the club until June 2024, with a €500,000 loan fee and a €15 million non-mandatory buy option valid until June 2024.

Despite the additional year to evaluate the player, Real Madrid has decided not to trigger the buy option. This decision means that Vinícius Tobías will be returning to Shakhtar Donetsk after his loan period concludes.

In response to the news, Vinícius Tobías took to Instagram to bid farewell to the team and its supporters. In his statement, he expressed gratitude for the opportunity and the experiences gained during his time in Madrid, while also looking forward to the future challenges and opportunities back at Shakhtar.
