Real Madrid have shown interest in top rated La Liga full-back

The winter period is when the search for talent intensifies at Real Madrid, and among the names being monitored is Yan Couto per Marca. The right-back is currently on loan at Girona from Manchester City. The 21-year-old will be out of contract with the City Group in 2025 and has shown promising signs of life during his time in Girona.

While Los Blancos is currently focusing on primary objectives such as center-back and left-back positions, the club has taken note of Couto’s talent and potential. At just 21 years of age, Couto is considered a possible signing for a decade and has already proven himself in the First Division.

Manchester City has expressed interest in reclaiming the player at the end of the season, which would require a contract renewal that is set to expire in 2025. For the white club, the right-back position is currently occupied by Carvajal, who has a contract until 2025, and Lucas Vázquez, who has yet to renew but is likely to continue for another season. Additionally, the club has several young players, including David Jiménez, Fortea, and Alejandro Jiménez, all of whom have shown potential in their respective leagues.

The addition of Couto would bring quality and experience to the First Division, given his two seasons in LaLiga and one in Portugal. Although it may not be a top priority for the 14-time European champions at the moment, the club is unlikely to let the Brazilian talent slip away so easily.
