Real Madrid informed of Mbappe’s price – report

The soap opera continues. If you’re already tired of the Mbappé saga, hang in there a little bit. This is the ultimate stretch. After months of rumours, press conferences, emotions and big money spending, the end is near. 

PSG excluded their star player from its Japaneses tour in a bid to sell him after he refused to renew his contract with the club. With several clubs lurking, it is now clear that the only destination favorable to the player is Real Madrid.

Spanish outlet MARCA have announced that Real Madrid have been informed that PSG want 250 million euros for Mbappé. Real Madrid have known about Kylian Mbappé’s price tag for a few days now. All that remains is for both parties to adjust the fee a little. Madrid were informed of PSG’s asking price by Fayza Lamari, adds the newspaper. 

The feeling is that the outcome of thee Mbappé saga is finally seems close given that now it is Madrid that can activate the signing at any time or postpone it for next season, as was the initial idea back in May before Benzema decided to go to Saudi. For an agreement to take place, Real Madrid can sign Kylian Mbappé for 225 million euros to 230 million euros this summer.

MARCA also confirm that Real Madrid have never had direct contact with PSG. Everything has been done through intermediaries. Los Blancos are now waiting for a call from Mbappé’s mother or his lawyer to confirm a price that is within what they are willing to pay.

Kylian Mbappé is reportedly aware that he failed Los Blancos by renewing his contract last year and just six weeks after he renewed his contract last year, Real Madrid were informed that the player has regretted his decision.

The purchase fee Real Madrid pay to sign Mbappé has to be distributed between the player and PSG as compensation for the player giving up about 192 million euros of what he was to receive if he stays for one more year.
