Real Madrid midfielder not leaving – report

Would Real Madrid sell 100 million euro midfield prodigy after just one season? This is a question many would be asking after a rather disappointing second half of the season for the young French midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni.

The player has been a massive target for the summer transfer media rumors. He has come under severe scrutiny for his performances after the World Cup and judging by how promising he looked before the tournament, some believe that it was just a mentally destabilizing moment for him to lose a World Cup final all while missing a decisive penalty.

French journalist Pierre Chapron in an interview with our colleagues at Bernabeu Digital gave some statements on the situation surrounding the Real Madrid midfielder: “It’s true that his 2nd half of the season was not good, and far from his pre-World Cup form, but… Who can digest a defeat in a World Cup final with that scenario? Maybe they had to let off steam. It’s natural. But at Madrid it’s impossible.”

The unforgiving nature of Madrid and its fans to demand the mentality and performance of winners at all times has led to the speculation of a possible sale of Tchouameni to interested clubs like Liverpool, PSG and Arsenal.

With the summer break and a long holiday, there is enough time for French star to work physically and mentally to get back in his best form. And with the arrival of Jude Bellingham and also having teammates like Camavinga, Valverde and Ceballos who will keep fighting for a place he will have enough motivation to work and he can also learn from Kroos and Modric who are serial winners with all the experience any young midfielder would wish for.

Pierre continued: “He was part of France’s team in Qatar. Now, this summer, he is going to rest and work hard with his trainer, and I am sure that we will see a great Tchouameni again. And the competition in the center of the field will be very good for him.”

He (Pierre Chaperon) also dismisses any rumor of a Tchouameni sale as a source of income for Real Madrid. Stating that the club is doing very well economically and have the new stadium as a massive source to generate money and fund other transfers in the future.

“Regarding Tchouaméni, I don’t think he’ll leave. It would be very strange after only one year. Real Madrid are not in poor economic health; the stadium will be built and that will be a great source of income.”
