Real Madrid name squad list for Rayo game, Arda Güler included

After three consecutive games away from the Bernabéu, Real Madrid will return to their iconic ground on Sunday night to host Rayo Vallecano.

The Spanish giants are currently sitting top of the table heading into matchday 12 of the 2023/2024 La Liga EA Sports season.

The team returned to Valdebebas on Wednesday to begin preparations for the game.

Following Saturday’s pre-match press conference attended by head coach Carlo Ancelotti, the club published its official squad list for the game.

All eyes were on the premiering of Arda Güler’s name in an official squad list since he joined the club from Turkish side Fernebahce.

First time out

Just as confirmed in the pre-match press conference, Turkish star Arda Güler was included in the squad list. The youngster is yet to make an appearance for Los Blancos after signing for the club.

Full squad

Goalkeepers:

Lunin, Kepa and Diego Piñeiro.

Defenders:

Carvajal, Alaba, Nacho, Lucas V., Fran García and Rüdiger.

Midfielders:

Bellingham, Kroos, Modrić, Camavinga, Valverde, Arda Güler and Nico Paz.

Forwards: Vinicius Junior, Rodrygo, Joselu and Brahim.

Several players are also due to miss the game through injury. They include: Militão, Courtois, Ceballos, Tchouaméni and Mendy.
