Harry Kane, the prolific English striker, found a new home in Bayern Munich after intense negotiations.

The Bavarian giants successfully outmaneuvered Real Madrid with a record-breaking deal valued at over 100 million euros.

According to The Athletic, Real Madrid, commonly associated with big-name signings and extravagant transfers, made an initial move by submitting a 60 million euro bid for Kane’s services earlier this summer.

However, it was Bayern Munich who swiftly engaged with Tottenham Hotspur chairman, Daniel Levy, to kickstart negotiations that spanned several weeks.

The transfer fee surpassing the 100 million euro mark signifies the magnitude of this landmark deal.

Harry Kane’s prolific goal-scoring record, consistently performing at the highest level, propelled him to the top of Bayern’s wishlist.

Madrid’s search for a Benzema replacement

Real Madrid were seeking for a striker in the summer transfer window following Karim Benzema, who joined Al Ittihad.

Los Blancos ended up signing Joselu on loan, which means there are no player wearing number nine shirt for the very first time in the club’s history.

The Harry Kane option

Harry Kane was looking for a new challenge after spending a very long time at Tottenham Hotspur and becoming their all time top scorer, mainly because of lack of trophies for the club as he didn’t win any major trophy in his career.

Many clubs were trying to signing him including Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid.

The English captain ended up joining Bayern Munich after a long negotiations with Daniel Levy who didn’t want to give up on him easily.
