Carlo Ancelotti in his recent press conferences has reinstated several times that the squad is closed. However, the coach asked the club for a striker during this current market.

This came after Karim Benzema departed the club for Saudi Arabia.

Upon his request, Ancelotti has still not received his desired target with about 3 days to go until the market closes.

According to SER’s Antonio Romero and as advanced by several sources, Carlo Ancelotti wanted Harry Kane to join the club. The English captain was the preferred target.

Real Madrid’s reluctance to sign him meant he joined Bayern Munich in a deal worth a 100 million euro fixed fee plus add-ons up if up to 20 million euros.

Antonio Romero further reports that Carlo Ancelotti asked for the club to sign Harry Kane. The club’s response was: “It is either Kylian Mbappé or no one is coming.”

Club president Florentino Pérez told Carlo Ancelotti face to face that for this summer, it is Mbappé or no one else. Florentino will also bear responsibility whether it fails or not, adds Romero.

Real Madrid look set to go at least until January without a reliable striker in the squad.
