Rodrygo at risk of being offloaded by Real – report

Despite scoring in the first game of the season and raising hopes, Real Madrid forward Rodrygo has barely managed to score again for the club.

According to a report by Diario Sport, Real Madrid did not like the statements made by Brazilian with regards to not playing his favorite position.

In a press conference while on international duty, the 22-year-old said: “It is always important to be able to perform various functions. I have always made it clear that I have the ability to play on the wings, I just don’t like to play 9, although at my club I have to do it. Here in the national team, I can move around the field, which has helped my game. It is important to be able to do all those functions, since it increases your chances of not being replaced. This is fundamental for me.”

Also, the possible signing of Mbappé, the arrival of Endrick in 2024 and the presence of Güler and Brahim weaken his situation on the team.

The reality is that he has only played 9 in one game and it was in the derby against Atleti which Real lost.

In the rest of the games he has formed an attacking pair with Vinicius or Joselu. Rodrygo has been on the bench in two of the last three games.
