Lucas Vázquez, Arda Güler, and Andriy Lunin have made an impressive decision to cut their holidays short and begin training at Valdebebas. According to Spanish football journalist Sergio Quirante, the three players have shown their commitment to Real Madrid by not taking a long break and getting back to training as soon as possible.

Lucas Vázquez has been a vital player for the Spanish side since the injury of Carvajal, having scored the only goal against Alaves that helped his side clinch the top spot of La Liga before the Christmas break. He is known for his flexibility on the field, as he can play in multiple positions, including right-back, winger, and midfield.

With the news of Carvajal, his direct competitor for the right-back position, returning from injury and being available for the match against Mallorca on January 3, Vázquez is sending a message that he wants to continue being a crucial player for the team.

Arda Güler is an exciting young player who joined the 14-time European champions in 2023. He had to battle through injuries and is yet to make his debut with the club. the Turkish is a versatile player who can play in midfield or as a forward, and his technical abilities and vision make him an excellent fit for the white club’s style of play. By cutting his holidays short and returning early, the 18-year-old has demonstrated his desire to recover and make an impact on the team.

Andriy Lunin has shown his quality in the matches he has played this season, impressing both fans and analysts alike with his reflexes, shot-stopping abilities, and distribution. The Ukrainian international currently has the best save percentage in La Liga this season according to OptaJose. He has saved 87% (20/23) of the shots on target and has left Ancelotti with the headache of choosing between him and Kepa.

Ancelotti answered a question about Lunin and Kepa during a press conference: “Lunin or Kepa? They are both doing very well. Lunin has made a lot of progress; he has shown confidence. Kepa has maintained his good level. I’d like to reward both of them to play, and in the second part of the season, I think I am going to choose one of the two.”

As reported by Marca the Italian coach has given himself this holiday period to decide who will be his first goalkeeper in the team. He does not want to continue with the distribution of minutes among the two goalkeepers.

By returning early and working hard, Lunin is sending a message that he wants to challenge for the starting goalkeeper spot.

The decision by these three players to cut their holidays short and begin training early is a positive sign for Real Madrid fans. It shows that the players are committed to the team’s success and are willing to put in the effort needed to achieve it. It also showcases the excellent work being done by the coaching staff, who have undoubtedly convinced the players that they will benefit from early training.
