UEFA set to investigate Jude Bellingham over goal celebration against Slovakia

UEFA have released a statement claiming they will investigate England and Real Madrid forward Jude Bellingham over goal celebration against Slovakia on Sunday night.

The gesture, previously explained by the player as being a sign to his friends in the stands, has now sparked controversy.

The official statement read: “UEFA Ethics and Disciplinary Inspector will conduct a disciplinary investigation regarding a potential violation of the basic rules of decent conduct by the English Football Association player, Jude Bellingham, having allegedly occurred in the scope of this match.
Information on this matter will be made available in due course.”
