Real Madrid‘s head coach, Carlo Ancelotti, is likely to have Vinicius Junior and Dani Carvajal at his disposal for the match against Mallorca on January 3 at the Bernabéu (19:15 hours), according to the latest training sessions in Valdebebas.
Both players have trained without issues alongside their teammates, and unless there are unforeseen setbacks, it appears they will be ready for Ancelotti’s lineup in the first game of 2024.
Vinicius sustained a muscle injury while on international duty on November 17. Initially expected to be sidelined for two and a half months, the Brazilian forward has recovered ahead of schedule.
Although there is a possibility of his reappearance against Mallorca, the coaching staff is cautious and aims to have Vinicius at full fitness for the Supercopa de España in the second week of January.
Carvajal, on the other hand, suffered an injury in early December against Granada, a muscle injury to the left soleus. The estimated recovery time was between three weeks and a month.
If he returns against Mallorca, he will have completed the expected recovery period. Similar to Vinicius, the primary objective is to have Carvajal in optimal condition for the Supercopa de España.
Real Madrid’s fans eagerly anticipate the return of Vinicius and Carvajal, providing Ancelotti with additional options and bolstering the squad for upcoming challenges in the new year.
