Following the growing number of injuries during the current international break, concerns have emerged regarding the congested nature of the fixture schedule.

Players are now expected to play more games in the course of a season and its resulting in a number of injuries.

Real Madrid have been one of the most affected clubs. Brazilian winger Vinicius Junior was diagnosed with a rupture in the femoral biceps with involvement of the distal tendon in his left leg.

Initial reports were that the player will be out for about two and half months.

However, in an interview with Carrusel, renowned Doctor Pedro Ripoll suggested otherwise.

Doctor Ripoll said: “Vinicius will be out for at least three months. He has injured the muscle that gives him speed. You have to give him the time he needs. If you don’t go calmly, there is a 30% risk of relapse.”

The Brazilian has been an important piece of the puzzle for Los Blancos in recent seasons.

He has been directly involved in 31% of Real Madrid’s goals in all competitions since the start of the 2021/2022 season (89/283), scoring 51 goals and providing 38 assists.
