Real Madrid bid farewell to Benito Villamarín stadium, acknowledging that the journey continues, with their sights now set on the UEFA Champions League, but Luka Modric’s frustration was emerged during the game.

Real Madrid player’s intense battle against Real Betis ended in a hard-fought 1-1 draw, leaving Carlo Ancelotti’s side with a shared point but a missed opportunity to widen their lead in La Liga.

The White Club has little to reproach itself for at the moment, especially given their relentless efforts during the match, despite only securing a single point on the Verdiblanco’s territory.

However, current discussions revolve more around extraneous matters than the on-field events.

Luka Modric departed the match visibly upset, even kicking a few bottles upon reaching the bench, but not in opposition to Carlo Ancelotti; quite the opposite.

The Croatian midfielder was irked with himself for some passing errors and even a few missed shots, igniting frustration towards his own performance, though this is being exploited by those against Real Madrid.

Modric’s gestures held no resentment towards either being substituted or the Italian coach, a fact the player made explicitly clear to Ancelotti before heading back to Madrid.

Carlo Ancelotti himself was questioned about Luka Modric’s frustration in the press conference, a topic he swiftly played down.

“I’m not sure if Modric was upset. It was a good game from both sides. We conceded the goal when we had it under control, but Betis didn’t deserve to lose,” expressed the Reggiolo native.

Real Madrid now shifts its focus to the upcoming challenges in the UEFA Champions League, aiming to harness their strengths and learn from their recent encounter as they pursue further success on the European stage.
