There have been strong rumors linking Alphonso Davies to a potential move to Real Madrid. The 23-year-old, born in 2000, is said to be in a contract negotiation standstill, sparking significant interest from the White Side of Madrid.

In the current 2023/2024 season, the Canadian international has showcased his skills for FC Bayern München, contributing with three assists and maintaining a consistent level of performance.

Valued at around €70 million, Davies is renowned for his attacking abilities and versatility. His capability to operate as a Left Midfielder, and his frequent role as a Left Winger for the National Team, makes him a valuable prospect for Real Madrid.

Considering the uncertainty surrounding Ferlan Mendy, particularly due to recent injury issues, Real Madrid brought in Fran García to introduce competition on the left side of the defense. However, Carlo Ancelotti has displayed a lack of trust in the Spanish international.

If Davies were to join Madrid, it would likely prompt the sale of Mendy, with a speculated transfer fee ranging from €30 million to €50 million. This strategic move appears sensible considering Mendy’s original purchase price and the fact that he is approaching the later stages of his career, entering his 30s.
