Barcelona midfielder recalls receiving a call from Real Madrid
Twenty-year-old Barcelona midfielder Fermín López has recalled receiving a call from Real Madrid during his early days. In a interview with COPE, the Spanish midfielder highlighted he has always been a Barcelona fan.
When asked about his La Masia days, the 20-year-old stated: “When I was little Real Madrid called me but I have always been a Barça fan.”
He also spoke about his teammate Gavi which he shared his La Masia days with: “On the field he transforms, he is very impulsive and has that competitive spirit but he is a normal and nice boy, he is not a troublemaker. He doesn’t understand anything other than giving his all.”
My childhood has always been with football. I played on the street. Consoles have consumed the childhood of some children. I was very happy, without mobile phones or anything, just football,” Fermín continued.
Fermín has started the season on a positive note, scoring once in four appearances. His 75th minute goal against Mallorca at the Son Moix snatched a vital point for Xavi’s men on matchday 7 of the 2023/2024 La Liga EA Sports season.
Already during the preseason, Fermín scored a ‘golazo’ for Barcelona against fierce rivals Real Madrid.
