Following his return to Madrid after Real Madrid officially confirmed his injury, Arda Güler immediately began his recovery process. Reports suggest he could be out for two months.
Carlo Ancelotti confirmed in his press conference after the loss against Barcelona that: “Arda has a problem in his knee… I hope he can solve it in Madrid. He will have an individual program.”
The player has suffered a meniscus injury, and has since not played a single minute for Los Blancos in pre-season. The good news however, is that he may not need surgery.
Real Madrid correspondent for The Athletic, Mario Cortegana confirms that Arda has completed the first part of his treatment and feels very good. If he continues like this for the next five to six days, a surgery will be ruled out.
Club physios continue to work with the player back in Spain, away from the team’s concentration in Orlando, Florida.
The 18-year-old joined Real Madrid this summer for a reported fee of 20 million euros fixed fee, 20% sell-on clause and extra add-ons plus taxes.
