The Office of the Prosecutor has called upon Valencia’s Instruction Court No. 10 to close the inquiry related to racist comments directed at Real Madrid player Vinicius during his arrival at Mestalla Stadium on May 21.
According to sources from the Public Ministry speaking to EFE, the prosecutor has made this decision due to the difficulty in identifying the individuals responsible for the insults. These remarks were captured in various videos circulated on social media, which were subsequently included in the case.
It’s worth noting that this investigation was initiated separately from the case involving racist abuse directed at the same player, as well as Militao, within the stadium during the match.
In the latter case, three individuals aged between 18 and 21 have been accused, and Valencia’s club has permanently banned them from entering the stadium.
Back in July, LaLiga presented a document to the judge detailing the insults directed at Brazilian defender Militao, seeking legal actions as a victim, similar to his teammate Vinicius.
LaLiga, as an affected party, provided the judge with several videos of Real Madrid’s arrival at the Mestalla Stadium, where youths were heard making sounds like “uh, uh, uh,” along with offensive chants like “you’re a monkey” and “Vinicius, you’re a monkey.”
In their expanded complaint, LaLiga also attached a post from the Ultra Yomus Twitter profile, encouraging followers to welcome the team, indicating to the judge that this collective is currently situated in the north end where the fans investigated for racist insults were located.
The winger is currently injured and will be looking to make a return to the pitch in January.
