Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti is reportedly considering a shift to a double-pivot midfield, featuring Toni Kroos and Federico Valverde, following injuries to Eduardo Camavinga and Aurelien Tchouameni.

The absence of these key players until January 2024 has prompted Ancelotti to explore alternative formations.

Journalist Edu Aguirre, reporting through El Chiringuito TV, revealed Ancelotti’s strategic adjustment due to the limited options in midfield.

While earlier reports hinted at utilizing youth team players, the manager is now contemplating seasoned players for a potential 4-2-3-1 formation.

In this envisioned formation, Valverde and Kroos would constitute the double pivot in midfield, with Jude Bellingham as the sole attacking midfielder. Ancelotti aims to balance seasoned expertise with youthful enthusiasm during this challenging period.

Real Madrid’s current focus is to plan ahead, overcoming the obstacle of injuries and having key players back in action for the crucial months of February and March.

The team’s detailed season planning may prove advantageous if they successfully navigate the challenges and regain full strength when it matters most.

Ancelotti emphasizes the importance of looking forward and maintaining a comprehensive plan while awaiting the return of injured players.
