Jude Bellingham faces potential sanctions for Alleged verbal attack on Mason Greenwood

Jude Bellingham, the 20-year-old midfielder for Real Madrid, finds himself in the midst of a controversy after an altercation with Mason Greenwood during their recent clash against Getafe.

Reports suggest that Bellingham labeled his English compatriot a “rapist” following Real Madrid’s 2-0 victory, with Bellingham being the top scorer in La Liga with 14 goals in 19 appearances.

The incident, initially brought to light by La Cadena Ser, has been reported to the Liga supervisor by Getafe for further investigation.

Although Getafe has not indicated an intention to file a formal complaint, Bellingham may face disciplinary action for his inflammatory remarks. The confrontation only garnered attention after a video clip of the incident circulated on social media platforms.

It’s essential to note that Mason Greenwood, currently on loan from Manchester United to Spain, faced serious allegations of domestic violence and attempted rape against his partner back in January 2022.

However, British authorities dropped the charges precisely a year ago on February 2, 2023, resulting in Greenwood’s suspension from Manchester United.
