Achraf Hakimi is a player of interest for Real Madrid, with the Spanish giants considering a move for the Moroccan right-back in 2025 or 2026, according to a recent report by The Athletic.

Hakimi, who currently plays for Paris Saint-Germain, is under contract until 2026. The report suggests that PSG are keen to extend his contract, but if he does not sign a new deal, Real Madrid will be among the clubs monitoring his situation.

The approach to Hakimi’s potential transfer is similar to the one Real Madrid took with Alphonso Davies. The Canadian left-back was also a target for the club, but they waited until his contract was nearing its expiration before making a move.

This strategy allows Real Madrid to avoid paying a high transfer fee and also gives them the opportunity to assess the player’s performance over a longer period of time.

Hakimi has been in impressive form for PSG since joining the club from Inter Milan in 2021. He has made 106 appearances for the French giants, scoring 13 goals and providing 17 assists.

The 24-year-old is a versatile player who can play at right-back, left-back, and even as a winger. His attacking ability would be a valuable asset for Real Madrid, who are looking to strengthen their squad in the coming years.

It remains to be seen whether Hakimi will eventually join Real Madrid, but the club’s interest in him is certainly clear. The next few years will be crucial in determining his future, and it will be interesting to see how the situation develops.
