Real Madrid Castilla head coach Raul Gonzalez has opened up on rumors about a possible takeover of the first team next season. This comes after a barrage of media speculation surrounding Carlo Ancelotti and the Brazilian national team.
At the presentation of the new collection Kombat Padel, the former Los Blancos and Spain striker spoke about the first team management as well as new sensation Jude Bellingham.
When asked about taking over the first team in 2024, the 46-year-old said: “I am a club person, I am delighted with what I do. The important thing is to help on a day-to-day basis, next season will be known, the important thing is to help on a day-to-day basis.”
Jude Bellingham signed for Real Madrid this summer and has since scored thirteen goals in his first fourteen games. His amazing start did not escape the conversation when Raul took the microphone: “I was very surprised. He is far above in many aspects of the players of his age.”
Real Madrid ended Sunday night’s clash with Rayo without scoring a goal. This has created critics between fans regarding the lack of goals in the team. Raul answered: “The team has a goal, it has players who score goals, they are games and they are moments, you have to have tranquility and a lot of confidence in the team that is doing well.”
The former striker has also addressed the situation regarding the critics surrounding Brazilian winger Vinicius Junior: “Vinicius is doing well, he is a very important player and has the support of the fans and the club.”
Raul played 741 games for Real Madrid, scoring 323 times and assisting 114.
