In a recent interview with L’Equipe, the young Brazilian talent Endrick shared his thoughts about his eagerly awaited move to Real Madrid and how he’s gearing up for the challenges ahead.

At only 17 years old, Endrick has already established himself as a rising star in the football world. His journey to one of the most esteemed football clubs on the planet is marked by his unwavering determination and fervent passion for the sport.

“I put in the work every day to be fully prepared to contribute to Real Madrid,” he confidently stated. When asked about the pressure associated with such a big move, he admitted, “It’s not easy, but I’ve grown accustomed to it. It’s a part of the game, and I’m ready to face it head-on.”

Endrick doesn’t hesitate to draw inspiration from his football idols. He likened his style to that of Karim Benzema, the renowned Real Madrid striker.

“I see myself as a number nine with the creativity of a number 10. I’ve admired Benzema since his Lyon days. When Cristiano Ronaldo left, Benzema transformed into a versatile player, excelling as both a scorer and an assistor. I’ve studied his game closely, and it’s truly inspiring,” he revealed.

The young prodigy also shared his warm reception from new teammate Vinicius Junior upon joining Santiago Bernabeu.

“Viní Jr assured me that I would enjoy my time at Real Madrid, have fun on the pitch, and consider it the highlight of my career,” Endrick recounted. The camaraderie and support within the team are bound to be instrumental in helping him settle into his new surroundings.

Family holds a special place in Endrick’s heart, evident in his revelation about his father’s deep-rooted passion for Real Madrid. “My parents actually wanted to name me Di Stéfano when I was born. This was my father’s dream since he has always been a devoted Real Madrid fan,” he said.

Endrick’s football career has been nothing short of remarkable. With nearly 50 competitive appearances for Palmeiras and ten goals to his name, he has already left an indelible mark on Brazilian football.

Speculation abounds regarding his potential international call-up to represent Brazil, with some even suggesting his inclusion in the Selecao for the 2026 World Cup.

However, Endrick remains steadfastly focused on a more immediate aspiration – participating in the 2024 Olympics for Brazil. “While people do talk about the 2026 World Cup, my immediate goal is the 2024 Olympics. I’m determined to seize that opportunity,” he affirmed.
